All eyes are on the Churches in Las Vegas to help those effected by the shootings to find Christ, the source of all comfort and healing

20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[a] should be kept alive, as they are today. Genesis 50:20

All eyes are on the Churches of Las Vegas, not the Casinos, for healing and restoration in the aftermath of what is considered the bloodiest mass shooting.  In the aftermath of this devastation, people are flocking to the local church, not the casinos to understand why this evil happened.

In one church following the shooting, they were holding a prayer vigil while singing 'Amazing Grace' One young woman who was at the outdoor concert that night said she made a commitment to follow Jesus when she realized that she came so close to losing her life.

When life is threatened, fame and money seem so unimportant. What really matters is where you stand in God's eyes. While the shooter intended his act of violence as evil, God used it for good helping people find comfort and healing and assurance of eternal life.

Until the shootings occurred, I never realized there were churches in Las Vegas.  Today, I'm discovering that these once quiet havens for local Christians are now being called by God to preach the gospel of good news to those tragically marred by these recent events.

Tragedy will often serve as a catalyst to bring people to the cross because it is the cross  makes them realize they need Jesus more than anything else the world could ever offer in the midst of their pain and suffering.

As people are given new 'eyes' for God's word, they will see that in the midst of great suffering throughout history, God has always been there for them. Our personal decision is what determines whether we are healed by God's grace, or we run as far away from Him.

That decision starts in the heart of man.  Today, my perspective will be to pray for the local churches in Las Vegas because their time has come to reveal God's truth to people shielded from it like the windowless walls of the casinos they frequent.

This tragedy doesn't have to be the end-all for those marred by this event. Instead, it may very well be the time that God's amazing grace reigns forever in the lives of people living in Vegas when people leave Vegas, not with monetary riches, but the restoration of their soul.

Yes, today is the day of God's Amazing grace!
