It is times like these that we all need a living hope

That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:10

Many of us are wondering why God has forsaken us.  'Why God' seems to be humanities disparate cry for help. As we listen to the news most of us are asking when will the bad news end and the good news begin?

We want life restored just as it was before and we struggle with that thought through endless nights that never end. One year ago, I never heard of a pandemic. It never crossed my mind. America was suppose to be the 'land of plenty' where our every desire is fulfilled. The world at large values a strong America because their prosperity determines their success. '

Why God' have you forsaken us echoes across America as people  wonder when this pandemic will end and the deaths stop occurring.

Just before Jesus Christ ascended to heaven after, he promised to give us the gift of his holy spirit.  In the book of acts, it talks about it in Acts 10:45 with these words, "The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles.

I believe that God's ultimate goal is to grab our attention by reminding us He loves us so much that we were the reason He died for us, but it took taking away our spectator sports, our fine dining, our theaters to get us to truly listen. The question is will we listen?

God wants us to have a personal relationship with His son, Jesus who is ready to dwell in you if you would only invite him in.  The isolation you currently feel can be replaced with the sweet aroma of His presence.

The next time you worry about where your next meal will come from, remember to cultivate a rich prayer life to God in heaven and share your endless burdens with Him.  Because he truly cares for you.

I'm not saying that God sent this virus to our world to grab our attention.  I believe because we live in a fallen world bad things occasionally happen.

I do believe that God wants us to realign our values and learn to put Jesus Christ at the very top and everything else below and to learn to pray without ceasing for the things we need in this life.
Below, I included Ray Vaanderlaan's video about God providing for the needs of early believers.
