When we try to cancel out history we fail to learn from the mistakes of the past

 

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Adolf Eichmann, a high-ranking Nazi official in charge of the final solution of eliminating all Jews, was arrested in Argentina on May 11, 1960, under the disguise of a different name and new identity. Between 1941 and 1945 some 6 million Jewish people were eliminated during Hitler's reign of terror. Adolf Eichmann was one who managed to escape the country of Argentina where he settled with his wife and family. He thought he had gotten away with his former past until Jewish investigators discovered his new whereabouts. Though his name had changed he still had the same hatred for the Jewish race.

Right here in Minnesota lived a man named Michael Kakoc, a former SS soldier who immigrated to the United States illegally who was found to have murdered countless women and children; he tried to escape his past and live a quiet life with a new family. Like Eichmann, Karkac was soon located and expedited to face trial for his war crimes.

After Adolph Eichmann confessed that he was indeed Nazi officer responsible for killing Jews, he was flown to Israel where he had a jury trial. The jury handed down a sentence of guilty and he was sentenced to death much the same way his victims were sentenced to death- the court commissioned that an oven be built like the one at Auschwitz for Eichmann to be burned and his ashes scattered over several places so there would never be a single place to pay respects.

It really bothers me to that so many people choose to believe the lie that the holocaust never existed. Today, there is a movement to stop teaching American and world history so schools have more time to teach American Indian history. My wife said to me, " if there is ever a time for students to learn about world history it is now." What is going on inside the heads of those who run our public schools to make such a idiotic statement? My opinion is it's important for our children to understand the world they live in so they will be able to make informed choices in the coming years when their parents have moved on.

Perhaps the solution to truly understanding our past is by reading about history, not destroying it because we didn't like what the man did. The Marxist that is among us would rather seek and destroy our monuments, our institutions and destroy the United States Constitution because of it offends them. If they truly did some soul searching they might realize that their lives were made better growing up and living in the United States of America.

The sad reality of these modern Marxist is how they come to seek and destroy our country. The bible makes this clear through the words found in John 10:10- "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."


Our monuments, though we may not like some of them, are there to teach us mistakes that were made in the past so we do not repeat them. They can become teaching moments that will better educate people so these mistakes are not repeated.
