2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
When we become discouraged with life, or we don't see it as going the way it should we, like George Bailey wished we've never been born George received his wish and in the scene, after scene, he discovered that he really did have a pretty good life after all. Look around you and you will notice that one life touches another one. That person you had coffee with the other day may have entertained thoughts of ending their life but that encouraging word you gave them was just enough to carry them through life's trials.
When God created you, he made you in His own image and through the death and resurrection of his son, Jesus gave you the gift of the Holy Spirit to give you the words to say to those who are hurting around you.
Just think about that for a second. God uses our challenges in life to help others navigate their own challenges.
Our God is truly an awesome God.
