*Warning!* What you are about to read will shake the foundation you are standing on and bring you closer to Jesus Christ, God's redemptive plan for our world. This week's events have illustrated for me the power of prayer when Christian's pray.
Let me begin.
It was one week ago when I received a phone call from my sister letting me know that our brother was at Methodist hospital when a popped blister refused to heal and became severely infected. His blood sugars were high at the time of admission. When the doctor first saw him he was told that they may not be able to save his leg.
If was after I posted a prayer request that I visibly saw God begin to do a miracle. The prayer request went out Thursday morning and when I checked Friday I saw countless numbers of believers around the world lifting my brother up in prayer.
His blood sugars started coming down. He had an MRI which miraculously indicated that there was no infection in the bone. If there had been they would have had to amputate the limb. He was scheduled for surgery to begin cleaning out the infection. Not once, but twice.
As God's people prayed his blood sugars continued to come down. With the help of intravenous antibiotics and prayer the infection got better. Today, my brother is in a different facility waiting for the wound to fully heal. In the words of the doctor just a day before discharge from the hospital he was told that the wound is healing really well and that he should be able to resume normal activity in a couple of weeks.
Just before Jesus Christ ascended to heaven He gave us the gift of the holy spirit to help all believers. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+1:8 It is through God's holy spirit that helps us to communicate with God.
Jesus Christ is the bridge for all people groups in this world. Jesus Christ came to die for everyone regardless of religious origin. He wants to be your guide, your redeemer, and your Father you can call on no matter what you are struggling with in this life.
It is the power of Christians praying and then watching the visible signs of healing take place that strengthens my faith. Our God Reigns!
